Ramaphosa announces South African Cabinet


President Cyril Ramaphosa has reshuffled the South African Cabinet by making strong appointments to economic portfolios while accommodating political rivals within the African National Congress (ANC) with political appointments.  


The list of appointees announced on Monday night in Pretoria are as follows:  


- Deputy President of the Republic: Mr. David Mabuza

- Minister of Finance: Mr. Nhlanhla Nene

- Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs: Dr. Mkhize 

- Minister of Communications: Ms Nomvula Mokonyane

- Minister of Energy: Mr Jeff Radebe

- Minister of Higher Education and Training: Ms Naledi Pandor

- Minister of Home Affairs: Mr Malusi Gigaba

- Minister of Human Settlements: Ms Nomaindia Mfeketo

- Minister of International Relations and Cooperation: Ms Lindiwe Sisulu

- Minister of Mineral Resources: Mr Gwede Mantashe

- Minister of Police: Mr Bheki Cele

- Minister of Public Enterprises: Mr Pravin Gordhan

- Minister of Public Service and Administration: Ms Ayanda Dlodlo

- Minister of Public Works: Mr Thulas Nxesi

- Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform: Ms Maite Nkoana-Mashabane

- Minister of Science and Technology: Ms Nkhensani Kubayi-Ngubane

- Minister of Social Development: Ms Susan Shabangu

- Minister of Sport and Recreation: Ms Tokozile Xasa

- Minister of State Security: Ms Dipuo Letsatsi-Duba

- Minister of The Presidency: Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation: Dr Dlamini-Zuma

- The Presidency: Minister of Women: Ms Bathabile Dlamini

- Minister of Tourism: Mr. Derek Hanekom

- Minister of Transport: Dr. Blade Nzimande

- Minister of Water and Sanitation: Mr. Gugile Nkwinti

- Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries: Mr Sfiso Buthelezi

- Deputy Minister of Communications: Ms Pinky Kekana

- Deputy Minister of Finance: Mr Mondli Gungubele

- Deputy Minister of Public Service and Administration: Dr Chana Pilane-Majeke

- Deputy Minister of Small Business Development: Mr Cassel Mathale

- Deputy Minister of Public Enterprises: vacant

- Deputy Minister in the Presidency for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation: vacant
